I paid for a private lesson once with a very "famous" dog trainer who was passing through MN and she told me to call her when we were done competing the next weekend and she gave me her cell phone number. Unbelivable. So, I actually called her and she gave me even more tips and ideas on how to be more successful the next time. Whether they should actually be published or not, that's another thing.

I don't waste time on books if I'm not feeling the love.Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14104769413816181475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972710.post-58196317937408947522008-02-20T09:50:00.000-05:002008-02-20T09:50:00.000-05:00A great review! If someone were to throw Tastykakes at an audience here, no one would appreciate them for what they are! You can't get individual TKs here. Certain types are sold in the grocery stores by the box, but no pies (I miss pies), no Chocolate or Coconut Juniors. wahhhCarolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18187303372682555817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972710.post-995071357734456392008-02-19T22:18:00.000-05:002008-02-19T22:18:00.000-05:00If Lisa Scottoline is right, then maybe it's not s...If Lisa Scottoline is right, then maybe it's not such a waste of energy to work on one's book -- I'll have to read some of her work. What title would you suggest?

As for the other book - life is way too short to finish books that just don't do it for you. It's not like we're in school anymore (praise the Goddess!) and have to account to someone else for our reading!teabirdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01789062795176641187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972710.post-81422455892151492992008-02-19T21:36:00.000-05:002008-02-19T21:36:00.000-05:00You know, last month I had to quit Belinda half wa...You know, last month I had to quit Belinda half way through! It just didn't engage my interest - it wasn't anything more than that - nothing like the distaste for the main character in your book. Thank you for introducing Lisa Scottoline - her books look like fun reading!Mr Puffy's Knitting Blog:https://www.blogger.com/profile/10129149473915655930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972710.post-36056818011718886672008-02-19T21:11:00.000-05:002008-02-19T21:11:00.000-05:00At least you enjoyed one of your books last month!...At least you enjoyed one of your books last month! She sounds really fun but I'm not sure I've read any of her books.

OTOH, I've got The Known World on my TBR shelves. Maybe it'll stay there even longer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
