And, I do mean RIGHT ALONG ---- the train headlight would shine IN our dining room window of our apartment. Yes, I missed a lot of punch lines of comedy shows on the TV, but it was all worth it.

I think now it is the Warminster Local and for Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972710.post-8827749350346641132015-11-24T20:53:06.422-05:002015-11-24T20:53:06.422-05:00I love the laughter and the train sounds. (As opposed to the giving/getting presents.) Your list is wonderful -- thoughtful and inspiring. (I, too, love train sounds. My dad was a brakeman/switchman for the Union Pacific railroad, so train sounds always make me think of my dad!)Kymhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01332895223302876006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972710.post-28245286792627982772015-11-24T16:51:35.370-05:002015-11-24T16:51:35.370-05:00I am with you on trains. Also reading! I just read some worldwide literacy statistics, and while the worldwide literacy rate is 83%, it's as low as 24% for females in Afghanistan and 19% overall in Niger. Hard to imagine life without reading. :-(Bonnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608328439375705263noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32972710.post-34606694153847933442015-11-24T13:52:59.264-05:002015-11-24T13:52:59.264-05:00I too love train sounds, and have always lived by ...I too love train sounds, and have always lived by a rail line. When we moved to the place we are now, I was upset because while we were only two towns over on the same rail line, we were further from it, and there was a lot more industry between us and it - the chances of hearing it were really lessened. The trains also aren't allowed to blow their whistles before each crossing here either. <Wanderingcatstudiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11459444703722115118noreply@blogger.com
