Evil Amongst Us

Well, my fourth pair of socks for the year are 98% finished.

They each need their Afterthought Heel and then some ends woven in, and they desperately need to be blocked.  But due to their evil nature, that will not be anytime soon.  I want to put them aside, start a new, happier pair of socks, and then go back and do the heels (or rather, *try* to do the heels) when I am not so sick of them.  They have tried my patience more than just about any pair of socks I've ever knit, and that's saying a lot!

Stubborness made me finish them - nothing else.

That's it for now. I'll fill you in Easter and other more pleasant things in the next couple of days.

Oh, dear. Look how innocent they look!

I think we've all faced projects like that. :-( Maybe a time out will teach them to BEHAVE!

Glad you made it to the tube sock stage of your evil socks! I like turning heels; it feels a bit like magic and I'm pretty sure I'd never get around to afterthought heels after struggling through two long heel-less socks. Time for happier knitting!

Yep, send them to time out!

why do some projects make life so difficult? Time out might do them the world of good (and you, too!!!!)

pretty socks, I felt the same on the last pair I knitted up. Those gave me nothing but GRIEF.

Remember being sent to detention in school for bad behavior? That's exactly where these socks need to go. And, you may have convinced me to never do an afterthought heel! Like Bonny, every time I turn a heel it's like magic, and I like that. Plus, once I've turned a heel the foot (and my feet are BIG) seems to go fast.

Sassy socks! Shame on them! Sounds like if they don't start behaving they may not get a heel. ;-O

Evil they might be - but I like the colours!

Sometimes, it's best to put a project in time-out for a bit. When the heels are in you'll be happy with this pair.
