Well That's Two Hours I'll Never Get Back

We just had a meeting at work.  A TWO-HOUR meeting.  Now, keep in mind, our department has a meeting with our supervisor every two weeks that generally lasts 45 minutes to an hour.  That's more than long enough.  But today the others got on a tangent that just kept going ... and going ... and going.  Unfortunately, our supervisor is not good at running meetings and/or saying things like, "Well, that's off-topic so why don't we meet separately?" or any other solution that would have prevented it.

I had thought about one thing to post for Three on Thursday, but now my brain is somewhat fried, and now you get three GIFs that indicate my feelings over that past two hours.

After 1 hour

After 1 hour and 5 minutes

Why I should be able to go home now.

(OK, I actually relate to this one every single work day ...)

Surely it can only improve, right?  RIGHT???

Your Three on Thursdays brings back memories but not of anything that I miss. Sorry the first part of your day was was just wasted. Hope the day improves! At least, tomorrow is Friday.

Oh I can relate for sure!

That reminds me of those days we had no students so we could have staff meetings all day. They were miserable days. I'd take a room full of first graders over a handful of supervisors full of hot air any day.

Now that's I'm close to retiring, I skip just about every single meeting that I can. And that is most of them. I hate them.

Ha! These are brillliant! (and I hope the remainder of the day just flew!)

Oh . . . I so hate poorly run meetings . . . They make me behave really badly, I'm afraid. My heart goes out to you. XO

Staff meetings are always so much fun. :) 99.99% of the time, the topic could easily be relayed in an email that would take less than 3 minutes to read. I've never understood companies that like to waste time with meetings.

I wholly recognize, accept and deploy Tituss' remark. (He's from Athens, you know.)

As a nurse meetings were held at administrations convenience. Those of us who worked 12 night shifts just refused to stay one minute longer. It was rude to be asked to do so
