Sunday Evening Statements

I have no organized thoughts, but am in the mood for a blog post, so here goes.

1.  I am tired; I also feel like I'm getting sick.  Which is not a good thing since I am still new at my job.

2.  It's been cold here.

3.  Yesterday we got some snow, but not even a measurable amount, so it was a non-event really.

4.  January was so confused and disorganized for me, I only finished two books, and barely knit a thing after the fingerless mitts at the beginning of the month.

5.  Lisa mentioned that she went to the library and borrowed a book about beginning knitting - it would be so fun if she became a knitter too!

6.  Please keep a good thought for Claudia, whose sweet beagle boy, Mr Puffy, died recently.

7.  I was at Rosie's today, and a woman came in looking for yarn to knit a tube top.  Who knits a tube top - and in the winter, to boot?

8.  Speaking of which, I need a new pair of warm walking boots.

9.  I really need to put some things away, so I can get to my sewing machine; I have big plans!

10.  Some days, I think it would not be a bad thing to be a cat.

If you are still reading this, don't say I didn't warn you above about the whole organized thoughts thing.   You may find it hard to believe, but this is the most I've thought all day!

Stay warm.

I always enjoy a post from you Bridget. It's tough being at a new job. I know. Can't wait to see what you do on your sewing machine.

Take good care of yourself. You'll have time to knit and read soon, as soon as the job settles down a bit I think.

Be well! I hope you manage to dodge the bug...

We got your snow. I like snow, but this massive snow (measured in feet, not inches) once a month thing is old already.

I have days like that. Things will look up. Cheers.

Bridget- Why, in the name of sanity, would you WANT a tube top, much less, knit one?

Gotta admire the tube-top knitter's self-restraint. I mean, it's not like she wanted to knit a matching thong, too.

Thanks - your organized thoughts provided giggles for those serving time....

Giving it some thought, a tube top would be a nice break from a bra during the winter. You know, end of day, sick of the underwire, put on a nice woolie tube top to keep the girls comfy. Yeah, I could get behind that.

Moving on from the weirdness, there's no way in hell I'm learning to knit from a book. :-)

Let me start by saying that I am ridiculously tired right now, but even still, I tend to misread things on an all too regular basis.....but I thought your item #10 said that some days it would not be bad to eat a cat.

I felt a wave of panic for the kitties that inhabit your home.

I'm going to bed now ;-)

Tube top?! I didn't even wear those in the 70's.

Oh, I hope you're not getting sick!

It's hard for me to smile these days.... but the tube top got a scoff.

Sorry you are feeling tired. Hope you are not coming down with anything.

And thank you, dear Bridget, for thinking of us and mentioning our loss of Mr Puffy.

I agree, I think it would be cool to be a cat for a day. Esp MY cat!!! Hopefully you were just tired and not fighting something. and if you ARE fighting something, lets hope you win soon!

Laughter is the best medicine, so think about that knitted tube top and don't get sick!

Being a cat might not be bad...except for that whole licking thing. Blech!

I have often thought it would be nice to be a cat lying in a sun spot.
