There is nothing wrong with remembering. Just as there is nothing wrong with moving on. Those of us still here, those of us living, should never feel guilty about it, but instead realize that the dear ones lost would not want us to be sad or static forever. Because it is against everything that love is to stay in one spot, never ever letting time change, or change us.
In one of the stars, I shall be living,
In one of them, I shall be laughing.
And so it will be as if all the stars were laughing when you look
at the sky at night.

Thanks for posting this, Bridget. That was one of those days that changed my life in many ways, but mostly in that I try not to take my loved ones for granted. My sweetie and I say "I love you" at even the briefest departure, since we can't imagine how awful it would be to be grinching about something trivial and have your loved one never come home again.
Beautiful post today, you said it perfectly.
Hugs,
Meredith
Very nice.
I honor the day and all those lost.
