Furball Friday

Get a load of Milo the Koodle's whiskers!
They need their own zip code ...

Have a good weekend!

See you in August!

Furball Friday - Koodle Edition

The Koodle would like me to remind you that he is adorable.

I would like to warn you that this is a typical Koodle M.O. - you see him and think, look at that sweet kitty, showing his belly, I think I'll give it a rub.

And then you come up with a bloody stump.  So proceed at your own risk.  I'm sure that our cat sitter will see this a lot this weekend, while we are in Baltimore - I just hope he remembers from the last time!

Of course, we will likely be busy fighting off rodents, since according to The Orange One, Baltimore is infested with them, so maybe I shouldn't talk ...

Have a good weekend!  I'm sure there will be many good stories to share, and for any of you wondering, I'm 99.99999% certain there will be at least one plate containing hard milk products.  :-)

Furball Friday

This past Sunday, Hamlet's former family stopped by for a bit on their way to visit a local winery - they wanted to bring us this book.

It's a book with photos and information about Hamlet's life before he came to live with us.  There are a few puppy pictures (OMG!), as well as all of his travels, here and abroad.  Yes, abroad - Hamlet has been to Europe 4 times, and has gone on 2 Viking River Cruises!  (And this weekend we're taking him to Baltimore ... yeah ...)

Anyway, it is probably one of the biggest surprises and best gifts we have ever received.  It takes a lot of effort to put one of these together, and this one is so well done, besides being such thoughtful thing to do in the first place.  They said they put one together for Karma and her new family too.  :-)

Of course, their current guide dogs, Oakley and Mike, came along and oh the hilarity!  All three dogs had so much fun chasing each other and "fighting" over toys.  After they left, Hamlet was wiped out for the rest of the day and evening.  But such a happy pup.

And on that note, Hamlet and I send along best wishes for a good weekend, whether or not there are any surprises.  Happy February!

Furball Friday

When it's a very cold Friday, and you are a small, one-eyed kitty, sometimes curling up for a nap is the best idea.

It also works well if you are a large, 80-pound Golden Retriever.

Here's hoping your weekend will be cozy and relaxing!

Festive Furball Friday of Christmases Past

I am especially missing our sweet Jetsam this Christmas season.  He used to love being involved in all of it, all the time.  (The others participate, but thankfully not every minute - let's just say they don't "get" it the way Jetsam seemed to ...)

But Christmas is as much about yesterday as today, so I'm sharing these photos with you, and I hope that you have a loved and adored one who, even if you miss them being right here to hug, makes you happy to love and remember.

Have a Happy Christmas weekend!

Furball Friday

I would have posted earlier today, but I couldn't get to my laptop, because someone else
was "using" it in the cubbyhole where it lives ...

as a bed.  Pip says he hopes you have a relaxing weekend!

Furball Friday

We have two of these igloos, where the cats like to be when the weather is cool.  (You can see part of one to the right in this photo.)  However, when you are Jack, and you just LOVE Pip, it apparently means that you really *need* to try and be right where he is.

Happy Friday the 13th!  Please kiss any black kitties in your families for me.

And have a good weekend!

Furball Friday

This is our girl Tess, who died a few summers ago.  Her birthday is this coming Monday, and I've been thinking about her lately.  She was quite the character, as she never really settled down after being brought inside when we found her as a stray.  Even though she terrorized the other cats, she was really affectionate with us, and was one of the kissing-est cats I've ever known.  We miss her every day.

Enjoy your weekend.  As a matter of fact, enjoy it YOUR way - just like Tess always did!

Furball Friday

Nearly every time Pip gets comfortable in this particular kitty bed,
Milo the Koodle decides that Pip would be even *more* comfortable if he was there too.

It seldom ends well.

Here's hoping your weekend is overstuffed with good things!

Keep cool!

Furball Friday

Pip, 2012

This is the picture that my friend posted on Facebook of her foster kitten, then called Legoless (since he had to have a leg amputated), that convinced The Tim that we needed to add this sweetheart to our family.

Have a good weekend!

Furball Friday

Jetsam is ready to relax over this coming long weekend ... are you?

Whatever you do or don't do (I'm in the latter category), enjoy!
